This year’s Governor’s Emergency Management Workshop (GEMW), “Systems and Solutions”, will be held December 11-13, at the Galt House Hotel in historic downtown Louisville, Kentucky. This workshop brings together over 600 state and local senior elected officials, emergency management personnel, and private sector partners who have a vested interest in the preparation for, response to and recovery from emergency events. The workshop promotes an environment where attendees can network and share product information with decision-makers.
In conjunction with the GEMW, the Central United States Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC) will hold an Information Technology Workshop, December 10-11. CUSEC's primary objective is to provide dynamic support to multi-state response and recovery planning, resource acquisition; public education and awareness; promotion; mitigation, and research associated with earthquake preparedness in the central United States. CUSEC Member States are those most vulnerable to the effects of earthquakes in the region and include Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee.
