About Kentucky Emergency Management (KYEM)

Emergency Management shares the Governor's vision to coordinate a system of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery and protect the lives, environment and property of the people of Kentucky.

KYEM is a division of the Kentucky Department of Military Affairs and its role and function are governed by legislative action as dictated in Chapter 39A-F of the Kentucky Revised Statutes.

KYEM consists of our main office located on Boone National Guard Center, at 100 Minuteman Parkway, in Frankfort, Ky 40601 and 11 Regional Response Offices located throughout the state.

Although state and local governments are ready to assist the public during times of emergencies and disasters, preparedness starts at home. In the event of large scale disasters, it may take time to respond immediately.

On this page you will find our "Team of Teams" - People, Agencies and Organizations committed to prepare, respond and restore our Commonwealth.
